Colouring Competition (Launch-1st September)
This competition is all about using your imagination to show me how you would design and colour the pages of a book. What colour would you have Julia's hair be? How would her clothes look? Which flowers would you add to Teapot Cottage? Should Pumpkin, perhaps, be pink?! Anything and everything is welcome here, so go a little bit wild and show me your colouring skills! Neat and tidy colouring is important too, but don't worry too much if you go outside the lines...it really doesn't matter, as long as you're having fun.
Now for the exciting part: THE PRIZE!
There will be 10 winners in total. The top 10 colouring entries will be published in my next book "Julia Peculiar and the Toadstool Tribulations" on a feature page with their name and age (due for release October 2025).
Out of the top 10, one winner will be chosen to receive a FREE limited edition, signed hardback copy of Julia Peculiar and the Daisy Chain Disaster. These will not be available for sale as of yet, they are reserved for winners of competitions only (they are very special!).
Entry Instructions For Parents
- Download the colouring sheets and print them off (If you're struggling, email me on amy.wilson1@mail.com and I'll send them straight over) or pick up a paper copy at one of my Story-Time sessions over August of 2025 (we're all over the place!)
- When your little reader has finished their work, you can either pop them in the post (details below) or take a high quality photograph of their art work and post it as a comment on the competition post on my facebook page. Email entries are welcome too. Photographs must have only the artwork in, and be high quality enough to see all of the detail (just in case they win!)
- The closing date is 31st August. Entries after this date will not be considered.
- If your child is a winner, I will contact you to let you know what I need in order to publish their work. This will likely be a high quality photograph of their art work, which I can upload and format correctly for publication. Might be best to take this as soon as they are finished so you have it ready, just in case!
- Be sure to leave your child's name, age and a contact phone/email on email and postal entries. For facebook comment entries, I will contact you via messenger to confirm entry.
